Flight Simulator Group meeting format
The purpose of the group is an open forum to share knowledge and experience of flight simulation as well as a chance to see some of the wealth of Flight Sim additions used by other members in action, compare hardware etc. Many of the local members bring their own PC setups, some of which are quite extensive (!) and in addition, the group has it’s own kit to which many donate surplus kit. There are usually at least half-a-dozen members who bring their machines with them, plus that of the club and a ‘demonstration’ PC & projection from RCC Data Systems in Kingskerswell. Approximately 20 minutes are allocated around midday for a group discussion where future format is discussed along with meeting dates and news updates relevant to the group and Flight Simulation (upcoming releases etc). With this exception, the gathering is very informal with plenty of opportunity to chat to fellow members. Guest speakers are often invited and always welcome. (This usually takes the format of a short demonstration and questions & answers session.)
